1. What makes MOSHI body scrubs different?

We don’t do glitter, unicorn dust or marketing detox-myths.

Our scrubs are built on sugar + plant oils + vitamin E + fragrance – that’s it. They exfoliate, moisturise and leave your skin feeling like you did something wildly responsible for once.

2. Are your scrubs tested on animals?

Nope. Never.

MOSHI products are not tested on animals. The only things we test them on are willing humans, dry elbows and the occasional pessimistic boyfriend.

3. Are MOSHI body scrubs vegan?

Our sugar + plant oils formula is plant-based. We don’t use animal-derived exfoliating bits or butters in the scrub.

If you’re strictly ingredient-level vegan, you’re safe. If you’re philosophically vegan, you’ll also be happy about the no animal testing part.

4. What skin type are they for?

Dry? Dull? “I only moisturise when I remember”?

MOSHI scrubs are suitable for most skin types, especially:

  • Dry + rough skin
  • “Strawberry legs” and uneven texture
  • Normal skin that just wants to feel more expensive

If your skin is very sensitive or reactive, start slow (1× week) and patch-test first. We exfoliate here, we don’t start a war.

5. How often should I use it?

2–3 times a week is the sweet spot for most bodies.

  • Normal / dry skin: 2–3× week
  • Sensitive skin: start with 1× week
  • Over-achievers: daily is not better. Please don’t sand yourself.

Listen to your skin. If it feels tight, red or annoyed, give it a break and come back later like a mature adult.

6. Can I use it on my face?

Short answer: your body will love it, your face might not.

Sugar + oils can be a bit too intense for the more delicate skin on your face, especially if you’re sensitive or breakout-prone. If you still want to try:

  • Avoid eye area
  • Massage very gently
  • Patch-test first

But honestly? We made this for necks-down, not for fancy serums’ territory.

7. Do MOSHI scrubs contain microplastics or beads?

Nope.

We exfoliate with sugar, not plastic. That means:

  • No microplastic beads going down your drain
  • No harsh, scratchy particles trying to remove your entire personality with your dead skin

Sugar melts away with water. Your guilt can, too.

8. Why does my shower feel a bit… slippery after?

Because we use real oils, not airy marketing words.

The scrub leaves a light oily film on skin (that’s the moisturising part), and a bit of that can end up on your shower floor.

  • Rinse well after use
  • Give the floor a quick wash if needed
  • Try not to do Olympic moves in the shower

Soft skin: yes. Slapstick comedy: optional.

9. How should I store my MOSHI scrub?

  • Keep the lid closed
  • Don’t let water pool inside the jar
  • Store in a cool, dry place (aka not on 40°C windowsill in August)

10. How long does one scrub jar last?

Depends how generous you are:

  • Full body, 2–3× week: usually a few weeks to a couple of months
  • “Only arms & legs, when I remember”: longer

If you start offering to let other people “just try a little”, it will disappear significantly faster. We’ve seen it happen.
